Openview is local-first. Your charts, drawings, watchlists, alerts, journal and settings are saved in your own browser. You can use the whole product without an account, and if you never sign in, none of that data is sent to us.
There is no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking script anywhere on this site. We do not set cookies. We do not sell or share your data, and there is no profile of your behaviour for us to build.
An account is optional. It exists so your work follows you to another device. If you sign up with email or with Google, we store:
This is stored with Supabase, our database provider. Access rules mean only your account can read or write your rows. Sign-in happens over Google or Supabase; we never see your password.
Live prices come straight from the exchanges — Binance, Bybit, Coinbase, Kraken, OKX and Gate.io. Your browser connects to them directly, so those exchanges can see your IP address, the same as visiting their own sites. Some price and news requests instead go through our server, which hides your IP from the source. Charts, news and research data are fetched this way from providers including CoinMarketCap, CoinGecko, Yahoo Finance, Google News and public blockchain nodes.
The DEX page embeds Dexscreener in a frame; that site sets its own cookies and follows its own policy. If you attach a webhook to an alert, the alert details are sent to the address you entered when it fires.
Openview is read-only. It never asks for a seed phrase or a private key, and it cannot move funds. Wallet addresses you track are public blockchain addresses, looked up through our server so the block explorers do not see your IP.
Our servers briefly hold your IP address in memory to rate-limit abuse. It is never written to the database. Our host, Vercel, keeps standard request logs like any web host.
Signing out leaves your local data on your device, so nothing is lost. You can edit or clear your synced data from within the app, and you can ask us to delete your account and everything stored with it — see how to delete your account for the steps, what is removed, and how long it takes.
Openview is not intended for anyone under 13.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. For any privacy question, or to request deletion of your account, email openviewteam@gmail.com.
