Delete your account
This page explains how to delete your Openview account and what happens to your data. Openview is published by Juturna, and is available for Android as well as on the web.
You only have an account if you chose to create one. Signed out, Openview saves nothing — so if you never signed in, there is nothing on our servers to delete.
How to request deletion
Email us and we will delete the account and everything stored with it. This works whether or not you still have the app installed.
- Send an email to info@openview.site with the subject Delete my account.
- Send it from the email address you signed up with. This is how we confirm the account is yours. We cannot action a request for an address we cannot verify, and we will never ask you for your password.
- We confirm and delete. We reply to acknowledge the request, delete the account, and email you again once it is done.
If you signed in with Google and are not sure which address that was, send the request from the Google account you used.
Deleting from inside the app
In the phone app, open Menu and tap Delete account, then confirm. The account and everything listed below are deleted at once — you do not need to email us. The email route above deletes exactly the same data, for anyone who no longer has the app.
What is deleted
Everything below is tied to your account and is removed permanently:
| Data | What it is |
|---|---|
| Your login | Your email address, your password if you set one, and the link to your Google or Apple account if you signed in that way. For Apple, the app's access to your Apple ID is also revoked. |
| Your profile | Display name, username, email and avatar link. |
| Profile picture | Any avatar image you uploaded is deleted from our file storage as a separate, explicit step — it is not removed automatically with the account. |
| Journal | Your trades and notes. |
| Wallet | Portfolios, holdings, purchase and sale history, value snapshots, and the public wallet addresses you track. |
| Charts | Watchlists, drawings, indicators, chart layouts, templates, Pine scripts and chart settings. |
| Alerts | Your price alerts and their history. |
| Notifications | The push token for every device you signed in on, so your phone stops receiving alerts. |
| API keys | The API keys you made in Settings. They stop working at once, so no AI tool can reach your account again. |
| Preferences | Language, accent colour, sidebar layout and DEX settings. |
| Messages to us | Messages you sent through the contact form while signed in, and any images you attached to them. |
| Visits | Your visit count, the time of your last visit and the city and country it came from. |
| Plan | Your plan record. A paid subscription is cancelled first, so you are not charged again. |
What is kept, and why
- Comments and reactions on Reports. These are posted under a nickname you type, and are never linked to your account — there is no account information stored with them. That means we cannot find which comments are yours, so they stay on the public board. If you want a specific comment removed, quote it in your email and we will remove it by hand.
- Data on your own device. The phone app keeps a copy of your work on the device, and your browser holds a copy while you are signed in. Deleting your account removes the cloud copy; uninstalling the app, or signing out of the browser, removes those.
- Payment records. If you ever paid, the record of the payment is kept because tax law requires it. It is no longer linked to your account.
- Market and public data. Prices, reports and congressional trade filings are public information and contain nothing about you.
- Standard server logs. Our host keeps short-lived request logs, as every web host does. These are not part of your account and are not searchable by user.
How long it takes
We action requests within 7 days. Once done, your account and its data are gone from the live database immediately.
Our database provider keeps automated backups for disaster recovery, and those backups may still contain a copy of your data until they age out. All copies are gone within 30 days of your request. Backups are never used to restore a deleted account — only to recover the service after a failure.
